Dragon's Gate Necklace (Midnight ripples)

With a deep, vibrant blue that Washi does so well and shimmering gold ripples, this Washi pattern makes me think of waves in the moonlight. I found it at the Washi Museum in Tokyo and instantly fell in love with it, I had so many ideas of what I could create with it!

Dragon's gate is one of my most recent necklace designs, although I originally created it as a lampshade! I liked it so much that I tried it again in miniature with opaque washi, I think it works so much better as a necklace!

I love the intrigue, it is eye-catching, especially when it turns as you move, but I think its best quality is how tactile it is. The ridges and valleys are very pleasing to the fingers, much more effective and sophisticated than a fidget spinner! This is now my go-to piece for interviews and daunting situations, my lucky charm that helps to calm my nerves!
